Astronomy Day
We were honored to be joined by Rah e Qamar, a space awareness organization, whose visit added incredible value to the event. A special thanks to Adnan Mehmood Baig, whose powerful presentation on space awareness captivated the audience. His session shed light on critical issues such as space debris, explaining how the growing clutter in Earth’s orbit poses threats to satellites and future space missions — highlighting the urgent need to address this problem globally.

One of the major highlights of Astronomy Day was the space observation session. Thanks to Rahe Qamar's team for bringing telescopes, participants were able to witness breathtaking views of Venus, the Orion Belt, and several stunning deep space objects, including open star clusters and a glowing nebula near the Orion constellation, believed to be the famous Orion Nebula (M42) — a stellar nursery where new stars are born.

Behind the Stars – The Team That Made It Happen
Every successful mission has a team working tirelessly behind the scenes — and Astronomy Day was no different.
This incredible event was spearheaded by Moonis Baig, President of the Astronomy Club, whose vision and dedication brought the entire experience to life. Alongside him, Faryal Mansoor, our brilliant Head of Management and co-organizer, ensured every detail was flawlessly executed — from coordination to flow.
We also owe a huge thanks to our hardworking core management team:
Aali – Vice President of the Astronomy Club, who played a vital role in organizing and supporting Astronomy Day
Simrithi Lakhwani – for leading and managing all volunteers
Bipasha Lohana, Bandni, Hitansha, and Kirat – for transforming the venue with their creative decoration and on-ground support
Anand Kumar – Vice Head of Management, for coordinating the volunteer operations
Netik Kumar & Sagar Kumar – for their consistent support throughout the event
Jasim Saeed – for handling the technical side and ensuring everything ran seamlessly
To all our volunteers, thank you for your tireless dedication, energy, and commitment — your support truly made this event shine.
🌠 A very special thanks to our honorable Principal, Sir Daniyal Nisar Khan, whose constant support and encouragement made this vision a reality.
🚗 And finally, a heartfelt thank you to our special guests from the Rah-e-Qamar team, who traveled city to city just to be with us. Your presence elevated the event beyond words. Deep gratitude to Adnan Mehmood Baig, Hassan Mehmood Baig, and Aimen Mehmood Baig for visiting us and sharing your knowledge and passion for space awareness.
Thank you all for being the stars behind this unforgettable journey.
Astronomy Day wasn’t just about telescopes and talks — it was a celebration of curiosity, collaboration, and the cosmos. It reminded us all how small we are in the universe, but how big our dreams can be when we look up.
Stay tuned for more events by our Astronomy Club — because the journey through space has only just begun!
